Program aims :
This program aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to public health for students who intend to pursue careers in public health practice, management at local and national levels. It offers a cutting-edge knowledge and skills in the principles of epidemiology and environmental health problems through:
1.1. Development of skills to design, analyse, interpret and evaluate/criticise epidemiological and biomedical research.
1.2. Demonstration an understanding of the essential principles of biostatistical methods and its application in prioritization of community problems.
1.3. Identification of chronic disease epidemiology, infectious disease epidemiology and environmental exposure.
1.4. Demonstration of skills in report writing and communication.
1.5. Demonstration of Skills for health intervention planning; health systems, policy and financing and, health economics.
1.6. Participation in community development and protection of the environment.
